Social gaming will never look the same again. Since the inception of Playfish’s highly addictive games on Facebook, social networkers have spent hours challenging their friends online to the likes of Who has the Biggest Brain or Pet Society, but thanks to Skittles, social gaming will never look the same again.

Supported by a Facebook and Twitter campaign the new social game titled Skittles Shuffle, rates high on my list of ‘Great brand campaigns for 2009’.

The game encourages you to create your own ‘Skittle avatar’ at www.goskittleyourself.com which you can personalise with loads of cool features from Skittle colour and body to their ‘skuffling’ skills.

Then challenge your mates to ‘skuffles’, creating a fan base for your ‘avatar’. The ultimate finalists will then challenge each other to the final showdown live on one of the digital billboards at Piccadilly Circus. Talk about the ultimate 15 minutes of gamer fame

So get involved in the challenge and see what colour Skittle will rein victorious!! (my money’s on purple)
